Joining a church can be exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. If you are thinking of joining us, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to belong. Here are FOUR STEPS you can do to connect, join and belong to KINGSWAY CHURCH

1. sunday CHURCH

94 Houston Rd Kingsford

Sundays 9AM-10.30AM (with Kids Church)

Sundays 4PM-5.30PM

By His grace, God has gathered us together around Jesus to worship Him in the heavenly realms (Eph 2:6; Heb 12:22). We manifest that gathering by coming together every Sunday to worship Him and build one another up. We sing songs to praise our God, we pray to Him, we read His word, the Bible, and we hear the Bible taught to us in the sermon.

Children are a welcome part of our church. We have a kids program for children of all ages at the 9AM service where they are cared for by trained volunteers. We also have a cry room if you have a baby with you.

At the end of the formal part of our church service, we also have supper and dinner together. This is a great opportunity to build connections and relationships. It is also the best time to mutually encourage one another.

Everyone is welcome at Sunday Church, even if you are not a Christian. Come as you are and dress casually. There is no pressure to give money, come again or even believe the same things we believe in. When you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly welcomers at the door who will be happy to answer any questions you have. Also, please plan to stay for morning tea or supper. We would love to get to know you better.

If you plan to come this Sunday and would like us to keep an eye out for you. Fill out the form below.

"But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel." - Hebrews 12:22-24

2. growth groups

KINGSWAY growth groups is the heartbeat of community life in our church. We meet together in smaller groups in the middle of the week to share a meal, pray, study the Bible and share our lives with one another. It is an expression of our commitment to love one another as Christ has loved us. There are six groups that meet every week.

Tuesday night in Hillsdale

Wednesday night in Botany

Wednesday night in Kingsford

Thursday night in Strathfield

Thursday night in Artarmon

Friday morning women's group in Kingsford (with creche for children)

Everyone is welcome to join a growth group even if you aren't a Christian, or have never read the Bible. We hope you too can learn more about God, with us! If you'd like to join us, please fill out the visitor form and we will make contact with you (make sure you tick the box saying you'd like to join one!)

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:33-35

3. VOLUNTEER

Together, as members of Christ's body, we are called to serve one another. If you are a follower of Christ and you have been coming regularly to our church, we invite you join us in serving one another. We do this in many different ways. At KINGSWAY,  there are many areas of service that you can do depending on your gifts and abilities: formal or informal, structured or unstructured.

Part of serving one another is supporting the work of the church financially. We take a collection every Sunday but you can also give electronically. Please email us if you like to do this.

The goal of all this, is that the body of Christ might be built up together. Please speak to the leaders of the church to find out how you can take part in serving one another.

"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. - 1 Cor 12:4-7

4. membership

In joining our church, you become part of this local expression of Christ's body. This means, we belong to one another as we belong to Christ. If you are a Christian and have been coming regularly, you may also want to consider being a member of KINGSWAY CHURCH.

By being a member of KINGSWAY, each member is committing to:

  1. Meet regularly with the rest of the church to worship God together and mutually encourage each other on Sundays and during the week at growth groups.
  2. Join our efforts in fulfilling the vision and mission of the church: to have the good news of the Lord Jesus, his death and resurrection, impact every part of our lives and to make Jesus known to all that they too will call him Lord and Savior.
  3. Contribute to the work of the church in fulfilling its mission through acts of service and financial giving.
  4. Submit to the authority of the elders of the church, whose responsibility it is to teach, encourage, exhort and discipline the church (Heb 13:17).
